For those desiring a well-mannered dog around the house and with people, this helps you establish a strong foundation in basic commands that will impact both you and your dog's life.  

We teach you how to teach the dog (communication method) and how to create and maintain important behaviors.  We will also walk you through good dog management, socialization skills and overall good manners

Every dog and situation is different.  Our loose leash program will typically take 2 - 4 lessons depending on your dog.  There is no cookie cutter situation as each dog/owner is a little different.  We are committed to you and your dog learning how to walk appropriately with a leash.

This program teaches you about the proper equipment, heeling and leash pressure (essentially a conversation with the dog).  In the end we want you to be able to walk comfortably and confidently on a walk while also being prepared for encounters with other people and animals. 

If you are not able to work with your dog initially and need us to personally train your dog, ask about a board and train option.  

The time on this can vary depending on the need and can be an effective option for those who desire a jumpstart to their training.  We always like to ensure an effective transition back to your home with follow up lessons.   

Walking a dog calmly and loosely is best done when built upon a solid reward based training. This covers everything in Keys 1 plus lessons to help establish effective loose leash walking!

If your dog is walking you or if you are tired of your dog choking at the end of the leash, this will be invaluable!

We will help you know what equipment to use and how to properly use it according to the make up and sensitivity of your dog.  We will also address how to handle unexpected dog and people interactions when walking.

Every dog and situation is unique. Though many issues are indirectly targeted through good obedience training, if you need certain issues addressed, ask about our individual lessons.

This is our most well rounded program and by far best value.  After achieving a solid obedience foundation and effective loose leash walking (including management, socialization and manners), we build upon and strengthen your dog’s obedience with a variety of real life distractions, durations, and distances. 

Ultimately Keys 3 gives more time to pinpoint areas that need additional focus.  The additional lessons usually provide opportunities to teach the owner and dog the mechanics of good play behavior such as tug and retrieve (helpful for exercise and relationship building).

The first 6 months of a puppy’s life are critical to helping puppies learn to learn and establish healthy habits for life.
